Brandy Mickens is a respected leader in the financial industry, with twelve years of experience as a Financial Consultant with AXA Advisors, in Dallas, Texas. She advises clients on retirement planning, investing, and asset protection. She is a member of the Retirement Benefits Group with AXA and helped establish the group in Dallas, by being one of the first advisors in the group and is now the longest tenured member in the Dallas office.

Additionally, she spearheads her firm’s relationship with the Dallas Independent School District, the second largest school district in Texas, with nearly 20,000 employees. Her team provides retirement planning and financial planning services for all district employees and sponsors numerous programs for the district, including the annual Principal of the Year program.

Some of her professional accomplishments include; Fast Start Winner in 2002, named Retirement Benefits Group, Associate of the Year in 2002 and 2003, one of the top ten advisors in Texas’ Retirement Benefits Group in 2011 and being selected to serve on AXA’s National Field Advisory Council. She also holds several licenses, which include, the Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health License. In 2014, she completed the Wharton At Retirement Program  and was appointed to Divisonal Vice President.

Brandy is actively involved with her church, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and mentors students in the Dallas Independent School District. She also enjoys sports and was recently on the championship intramural basketball team at her church, where she was the only woman on the team. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, where she served as the Development Chair for the Black Alumni Association. She is married to Sean Mickens, a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, and they both strive to keep Christ at the forefront in everything they do. .
